Adult Fellowship Game Night: Let’s celebrate the coming of spring and the end of winter! This Friday, March 20, starting at 6:30pm. Bring your games and some food and your jolly spirit. This is for ages 16 and up. It’s been a long hard winter so let’s share some love and laughter together.
Junior Church Needs Your Help: Sis. Your help in collecting these things is greatly appreciated.
Honor Bound Men’s Summit: Lighthouse Christian Fellowship (Millersburg) has extended an invitation to attend this years’ summit titled, “Trophy Hunters, Men of Excellence.” It will be April 24 & 25. See Joe Hoover for more information.
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: “When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?” The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. “I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.” Then he told the following story: to be continued next week

A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know.' 'You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?' The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He’s never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough.'
