Christmas Party: This Friday, December 15. Make your plans to attend. The party starts at 6pm at the Orange Grange. See Pastor if you need directions. This is the same place we had it 2 years ago. There is a sign up sheet on the Secret Sister table for any children you are bringing. We want to make sure there are enough treats for all the children so please be sure to sign up.
Wednesday Deadline: If you have anything for the auction please bring it in by Wednesday night. Thank you.
Women of WWC Christmas Party: I am told the decorations for this party were delightful. I was also sad to hear that very few women attended. I fear the day is coming when we will need the support of one another but you’ll find it lacking because you never found it to be important to spend time together. Please pray that God will help us when that day comes!
Sunday Night Service Resumes!!! Evening Services will begin again on December 24. It will be a short candle light service beginning at 5pm. This will be a pleasant time of fellowship with the Spirit of God. Please try to come.
Christmas Blessings: Don’t let the business of the season rob you of this opportunity to give in the name of the Lord. There are families out there worse off than you are and they will be grateful when they receive their Christmas Blessing.
Board Meeting: 6:00pm on December 19 at Bill Treat’s house.
Too many people are ready to carry the stool when the piano needs to be moved.

Be happy. It’s a way of being wise.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 (King James Version)
Santa lives at the North Pole. JESUS is everywhere. Santa rides in a sleigh. JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water. Santa comes but once a year. JESUS is our ever-present help. Santa fills your stockings with goodies. JESUS supplies all your needs. Santa comes down your chimney uninvited. JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited. You have to wait in line to see Santa. JESUS is as close as the mention of His name. Santa lets you sit on his lap. JESUS lets you rest in His arms. Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what’s your name?” JESUS knew our name even before we were born. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future. He even knows how many hairs are on our heads. Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly. JESUS has a heart full of love. All Santa can offer is "HO HO HO" JESUS offers health, help and "hope." Santa says "You better not cry.” JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you." Santa may make you chuckle. JESUS gives you joy that is your strength. While Santa puts gifts under your tree. JESUS became our gift and He died on a tree... The cross! We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas!
Thank God for Children Saying Grace... Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!" Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!" Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?" As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer. "Really?" my son asked. "Cross my heart," the man replied. Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes." Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already."
