Prayer Requests:
1. Brenda Mourer – safety while traveling
2. Service at Autumn Health Care today

Bible Study: Tonight, 6 pm, here at the church. Men & women welcome. Sharhonda will be here to baby sit. A freewill offering will be taken up for her.

Soul Sister Sign Up Sheet: OK Ladies, here we go. One idea came in for a name so it is the sole winner. (Pun intended) I am assuming there are no questions since I didn’t receive any calls this week. Sign up sheet is on the back register.

THERE WILL BE NO JUNIOR CHURCH THIS MORNING. (Sis. Norma’s class)

Music practice: Tuesday @ 6pm

Fundraiser: We are collecting cell phones, ink cartridges and laser ink cartridges. If you know someone who works in an office please see if we can have the empty ink cartridges. We get money in return for them. There is a box on the table in the lobby for drop off.

A HUGE Thank You to those of you who came out to support me during the 5k walk. YOU’RE THE BEST FRIENDS I EVER HAD!!!!!!! I love you. - Robin

Are You Backing Your Pastor? Or do you take him for granted? There have been several things throughout the past couple of months that Pastor Jim asked you to do, and you didn’t bother to respond. Now, I need to ask who is behind him? He made a commitment of $2000, believing in you to the uttermost – that you would back him up on this. And yet there are still so many of you who have refused to get involved in this. I don’t care who you are or what you do, there IS SOMETHING you can do. So I’d like to encourage you to quit being selfish, get off your butt, get out of your comfort zone, and get behind the program. If you don’t see anything going on that you can help with, then get busy and come up with something. And while you’re at it, thank God you have a church and a pastor who loves God and his community enough to believe in this Group Teen Mission coming to town to help us out.

Fundraiser: Roscoe Village has approved us for a booth during the Apple Butter Stirin’ Festival on Oct. 16 -18. We have received some very nice items from Bill and Shannon Wilde but could use some other items. The items for sale must be handmade crafts or original art. I have been approved to sell home canned jams/jellies and knit/crochet items. Shannon would like to set up a time to teach anyone willing to learn how to knit or crochet. Demonstrations are encouraged as well as costume although it’s not required. However, there is a dress code. Anyone interested in working the booth? Please see Robin if interested.
