New Years Eve Service: It was a blessed time! There is nothing like being in the presence of God as the new year comes in. I spent plenty of years celebrating as the world does, partying until the ball dropped or I did whichever came first. It is like the difference between a piece of garbage and a beautiful diamond! If you couldn’t make it I am sorry for you that you had to miss it. But there’s always next year – unless Jesus comes back.

Men’s Dart League: Starts Thursday, January 11, at 6:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the men to have fellowship. It has also resulted in souls for the Kingdom in the past. All men are welcome. Bring a friend! There will be food once again on a donation basis with the funds going into the Love Workshop treasury. Pop will cost 50 cents a can. Hope to see you there.

IS THIS YOURS? I was cleaning out the Teacher’s Nook and found a couple of items we have no clue where they came from. We have a steam cleaner – very nice – and a cloth Santa decoration – looks like the kind that you put on your roof and he’s falling. Also wondering who is the original owner of the pack and play from the nursery. Please see Robin.

Winter Jam comes to the Schottenstein Center on Friday January 26th at 7pm with the doors opening at 6pm. This concert features Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, New Song, Hawk Nelson, Sanctus Real, among others. There are no presale tickets for this show. It is just $10.00 at the door with general admission seating. Come early. Last year this concert sold out.

Happy Birthday Wednesday: David Coakley
Happy Anniversary: Today: Ernie & Doris Huston

Food Fight 2007 Congratulations to Norma Eckelberry for winning the 2006 Food Fight by losing 24% of her original weight. Norma not only looks fantastic but also won $737. We will begin the 2007 competition immediately. The cost will be $8 a month (can pay $2 a week if you wish) for the total of $52 for the year to be paid by July 14. It is a great blessing to see folks lose weight and gain health as a result of this competition. This year will include more newsletters (provided nothing happens to keep me from it) and an effort to get together for exercises or walks. See Robin if you wish to join.

We need your help! Coshocton County Family and Children First Council and Partnerships for Success will soon be implementing PAX Play at our local elementary schools. Please look over the information below and pass this information along to others. We need MANY community volunteers and are hoping that our local Churches, Clubs, Businesses and other organizations would be interested in "adopting" these elementary schools.
What is PAX Play? Thank you for your interest in PAX PLAY, designed by Dr. Richard Embry, Founder of the PAX PLAY model. The Coshocton County Family and Children First Council and Partnerships for Success will be implementing PAX Play at interested elementary schools as soon as January 2007. PAX Play is an evidence-based "kernel" designed to
reduce bullying and aggressive behaviors throughout the school day by facilitating organized play during recess.
How does PAX Play work? The ability to interact in positive, non-aggressive, collaborative ways with others is one of the most fundamental goals of development and much of the learning of these behaviors is done through play. Research has shown that aggressive behaviors of elementary school children are reduced when free (unstructured play) is replaced by organized games. Organized play during recess significantly reduces the frequency of inappropriate behavior not only during recess, but throughout the school day. In short, modification of aggressive behaviors in young children is the primary focus of the Pax Play Initiative. There are two components to PAX Play;
1) Organized Play Facilitation
2) Evaluation
