Christmas Party: It was so nice to see all of you in fellowship. We have a wonderful family. Let’s be sure to thank God!! It was a wonderful evening.
The auction was fun and we found out Bro. Joe Hoover has a knack for the auctioneer lingo! And the food was wonderful! Sis, Posie Bryan created the cutest little mice for us to consume! YUM!! Ofcourse a fellowship just wouldn’t be the same without Sis. Karen Maples pies and Brandy Brown brought a platter of home made goodies. Oh hear I go naming names. It was ALL great! We did miss a few folks who didn’t make it though. Our prayer is that our family of God will draw closer not only to God but also to each other. A day is approaching when we will need each other to lean on. Let’s prepare now to be ready when that day arrives!
Sunday Night Service Resumes!!! Evening Services will begin again on December 24. It will be a short candle light service beginning at 5pm. This will be a pleasant time of fellowship with the Spirit of God. Please try to come.
Christmas Blessings: Next Saturday (Dec. 23) will be delivery day for our Christmas Blessings. We need folks who can make deliveries and folks to help pack up the boxes. Be at the church at 9:30A.M. to help.
Board Meeting: 6:00pm on December 19 at Bill Treat’s house.
WWC Directories Are Here! If you didn’t get your copy, they are on the Secret Sister table by the Central School entrance. A big thanks to Jill Smith for putting this together for us. There are several names that didn’t get included due to lack of information or permission to print their information. For Christmas card purposes here are the missing names:

Holiday Movie: The Hollywood Studio Theater in the Downtowner Plaza sent us a flyer to let us know that the movie “The Nativity” will be playing this week only. Hours are Sunday 2:15; 4:45; 7:15, Mon. – Thurs 4:45 and 7:15. They are sold out on Wednesday.
New Years Eve Service: Let’s plan to be together! We’ll start with some games and party food and then at midnight we’ll be at the altar binging in the new year.
Temper is what gets most of us in trouble. Pride is what keeps us there.
Who started this Christmas thing? This morning I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas shopping with her two children. After many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable, and after hours of hearing both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids. She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year---overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every open house, taste all the holiday food and treats, get that perfect gift for every single person on our shopping list, make sure we don't forget anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to everyone who sent us a card. Finally, the elevator doors opened, and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids and all the bags of stuff in with her. When the doors closed, she couldn't take it anymore and stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up and shot." From the back of the car, everyone heard a quiet, calm voice respond, "Don't worry. We already crucified Him." For the rest of the trip down the elevator, it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
Don't forget this year, to keep the One who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be. Jesus Christ, is the Reason for the Season
