There will be no Sunday evening services until further notice.

Baptism Service: Immediately following this morning’s service. Will take place at Tony & Connie William’s house – maps are on the radiator at the back of the Sanctuary. There will be plenty of food and fellowship so please stop out. This is an outside fellowship for brothers and sisters to have a good time and witness those who want to profess their faith and receive baptism according to Scripture. Please make sure your children play outside and if anyone is using the bathroom, please make sure you are not dripping wet – parents please monitor your children on this. Thanks.

Help Wanted: Looking for a guy to meet with Robin at the church to take care of a few things that need done (handy man odds & ends). Also, we need someone with a truck and someone with muscles to move the bed from Pastor’s house back to Dave & Cindy Coakley’s house.

Vacation Bible School 2007: Thinking you might like to direct a VBS? See Robin to apply for the position. It’s not too early to think about it and have a year to mull ideas around in your head

Women of Witness Needs: Just thought I’d put the need out there in case someone could help. Right now the ministry has received quite a few requests for help with school clothes. I try to come up with at least one outfit per child if at all possible. So if you have something sitting in a closet or drawer that isn’t being worn, please consider donating it. This week I need 34/32 jeans for a 15 yr old boy; and size 16 girls or 3 junior pants; and size 14 girls pants. Please let me know ASAP so that I can get them to this family quickly. Thanks. Robin
FIESTA!!!! On September 5 at 6:30pm we would like to invite everyone who worked this year’s VBS in some capacity to come for a Fiesta Celebration here at the church. No children please (if at all possible). We’ll have some good food and drink for you and would like to have your input on ideas for next year’s VBS. We need your impression of things you saw that worked well and those things that didn’t. This type of meeting is so important for the success of next year’s VBS. Please RSVP Robin (829-2601) so she knows how much food she needs. Thanks.

They have finally found a diagnosis for my condition. I have recently been diagnosed with
A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit
 Disorder...

This is how it goes: I decide to wash the car; I

start toward the garage and notice the mail on the

 table.

OK, I'm going to wash the car. But first I'm going

to go through the mail. I lay the car keys down on

the desk, discard the junk mail and I notice the trash can is full.

OK, I'll just put the bills on my desk and take the

trash can out, but since I'm going to be near the

mailbox anyway, I'll pay these few bills first. Now,

where is my checkbook? Oops, there's only one check left. My

extra checks are in my desk. Oh, there's the coke I

was drinking. I'm going to look for those checks.
But first I need to put my coke further away from

the computer, or maybe I'll pop it into the fridge to keep it cold for a while. I head towards the

kitchen and the vase of flowers catch my eye, they

need some water. I set the coke on the counter and

uh oh! There are my glasses. I was looking for them

all morning! I'd better put the mail away first. I

fill a container with water and head for the flower

pots - -Aaaaaagh! Someone left the TV remote in the

kitchen. We will never think to look in the kitchen tonight when we want to watch television so I'd

better put it back in the family room where it

belongs. I splash some water into the vase and onto

 the floor, I throw the

remote onto a soft cushion on the sofa and I head

back down the hall trying to figure out what it was

I was going to do. End of Day: The car isn't washed, the bills are
unpaid, the coke is sitting on the kitchen counter, the flowers are half watered, the checkbook still

only has one check in it and I can't seem to find my

car keys! When I try to figure out how come nothing got done today, I'm baffled because I KNOW I WAS BUSY ALL DAY LONG!!!

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing Psalm 92: 13, 14

MEMORIES: I can usually remember Monday through Thursday.  If you can remember Friday, Saturday and Sunday, let's put our two heads together.

Now that I'm 'older' (but refuse to grow up), here's what I've discovered: I. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it. 2. I finally got my head together; now my body is falling apart. 3. Funny, I don't remember being absent minded... 3. Funny, I don't remember being absent minded... 4. If all is not lost, where is it? 5. It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser. 6. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter ..
I go somewhere to get something and then wonder what I'm here after.
