HellStop: Cornerstone Full Gospel Church will have HellStop once again this year. HellStop is an outdoor, anti-drinking & driving docudrama, with a Gospel message at the end. The dates and times for this year’s event are: October 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th. Tickets go on sale at 6:00pm – 11:00pm with the groups starting their journey at 7:00pm. There is indoor waiting with games and a concession stand for your enjoyment while you wait. The cost is $5 per person or $4 for groups of 20 or more. Does anybody want to try to go down as a group? (This takes place in Duncan Falls). Due to the graphic reality that is portrayed, ages 11 and under must be accompanied by their parents/guardian. A sign-up sheet is on the back radiator. Please sign up if you think you would like to car pool down. Thanks.
Secret Sisters: It is time to sign up for the next 3 months. The paper is on the table. Wednesday night will be the deadline. So don’t forget to sign up!!
Baby Dedication: Brylie Jane Smith will be dedicated to the Lord this morning. We pray that Brylie will be a woman of God and will be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord. May she be blessed of God.
One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up and the driver got out and said, “I always park there! You took my place!" The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing. After Sunday School, the visitor went into the Chapel for Sacrament and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing. Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place."
