Ladies Mission: This group meets most every Saturday from 2 – 4. I finally got to attend last Saturday and I have to say it was such a relaxing time. Yes, we crocheted on our baby blankets, but the best part was just sitting and visiting with each other. It kind of made me think of days of old when family and friends got together while completing some goal – canning, freezing, harvesting, sewing, quilting, whatever. After having the opportunity to experience this I have to admit, I’m hooked. I can’t say I’ll be there every single Saturday, but I find myself trying to adjust my schedule to leave the 2-4 time slot free. I’m praying more of you decide to join us for this nifty time of quiet fellowship
5k Business: Yes, WWC. I'm at it again! Anyone want to join us for Sept. 25 in Cambridge? So far there are 6 of us planning to go. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
“Oh, how many things I would have to give up!” said a sinner who was wondering whether to receive Christ or not. “So many things I do now I would no longer be able to do.” “Don’t be afraid,” an experienced Christian told him. “Even now, aren’t there things you can’t do? For instance, can you eat dirt?” “No, of course not,” was the reply. “I don’t even want to eat dirt.” “This is exactly what will happen when Christ begins His life in you,” said his friend. “The sin that you now desire, you will not want at all.”

It’s good to be a Christian and know it, but it’s better to be a Christian and show it!

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and
break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until
he comes and showers righteousness on you. But you have planted
wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception.
Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many
warriors, the roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your
fortresses will be devastated— as Shalman devastated Beth Arbel on the
day of battle, when mothers were dashed to the ground with their
children. Thus will it happen to you, O Bethel, because your wickedness
is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely
destroyed. Hosea 10:12-15
