VBS Meeting: If you are planning to help during this year's Kidz Krusade please meet at the church at 4pm for a meeting. This meeting is to inform you about the schedule, what we need from you, and to answer any questions. In years past, we have dedicated this time to set up. This year won't take anywhere near the same effort. So if you are able to come and help during the Kidz Krusade, please attend this meeting so that we're all on the same page. Thanks!!

Help needed. We need adult help with the upcoming Kidz Krusade.  We plan to have carnival type games set up each day. So we need adults who can spend a little time setting up their game and spending 1/2 hour over-seeing the play. This is your opportunity to be what we used to call a "Carnie"!!  Happy See Sis. WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT…CHILD TRAINING continued By J. Richard Fugate
Each Child is Born with this Sinful Human Nature
Psalms 51:5 “Behold, I was shaped in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
Psalms 58:3 “The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.”
A child need not be taught how to lie, to be selfish, or to do wrong; these things come naturally. Every sweet, innocent, cuddly baby possesses within his flesh the constant temptation to fulfill the strong desire of sin. Under the control of sin, the child is totally self-centered; he wants what he wants when he wants it. A child wants to be fed what and when he wishes, to have the total attention of others, to play always, and generally to have his every desire fulfilled without regard for anyone else.
Anyone who doubts that a child posses this inherent nature of sin need only observe untrained children in action. Imagine two children left in a room with a single toy of equal interest to each. Or, visualize a child left alone in a room with an open jar of candy. Finally, consider a child who has been left with the decision about his bedtime or anything else he may not wish to do (such as bathe, work, or study). These examples picture the reality of a child’s drive for self-gratification.
Even when a child conducts himself with acceptable behavior, he may be acting out of self-interest to gain attention or future reward. An intelligent child or one who is strong-willed can deceive a parent into thinking that he is inherently good and only occasionally acts badly. Naturally, parents always want to see their child as they would like for him to be, not as he really is. You can avoid this deception when you realize that the nature of sin will motivate a child to do whatever bad, or even good, that he thinks will cause benefit to himself.
When parents recognize that the natural, normal tendency of their child is to satisfy his own sinful nature, they are ready to become successful parents. You cannot be successful in child training as long as you imagine that your child is an innocent, sweet cherub who is naturally good. The argument that “children will be children” is true. It is also true that they will remain that way if left to their own natures. For the child’s own good, he must not be allowed to function under the control of his sinful nature.

The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mic, and as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform, jerking the mic cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again.
After several circles and jerks, a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered,"If he gets loose, will he hurt us?"
