I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon the cross

I’m crying at the feet of Jesus and I find my tears mixed with blood. His blood. If it were not for that blood flowing into a river of life, I would be a walking dead woman. No matter how I imagine what it was like for Him to be upon that cross, my imagination only takes me to a point and stops. You see, I’ve had boo-boos but I’ve never been tortured. I’ve been humiliated by the hurtful attitudes of those who were “better than me” but I’ve never been humiliated by crowds screaming hateful things at me. And I have never been forsaken by God my Father. How could I even live? I can only imagine how that felt and I cry. What kind of love is this?

I’m crying at the feet of Jesus and I find my tears mixed with joy. His joy. The joy that strengthens me when the going gets tough. The joy that assures me I can do all things. No matter what adversity comes my way and no matter what God asks of me, my heart swells with JOY to answer the call. I look at myself through His eyes and I wonder how. And then I cry at his feet with joy. What kind of love is this?

Sweet Jesus, I love you!

Women of Witness: A pink newsletter is being passed out today to the women. I thought you might like to know a little bit about the ministry I am involved with and at times you help support. We have a fall Rally coming up this Saturday with a very special guest speaker. The newsletter is full of info so take one and read it over this afternoon. If you are interested in attending the Fall Rally let me know so we can sit together. There’s also a great recipe for a Pineapple Dream Cake you will want to try!

"I shall pass through this world but once. Therefore, any good that I can do or any kindness that I can show, let me do it now before the opportunity escapes, perhaps never to return causing me regrets. Allow me to live my life without regrets. Allow me to do all that I can for Jesus. There is Only One life, It will Soon be Past, Only what’s done for Jesus Christ will last. Life is like a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it one time

Rather than taking up an offering, we provide a Tithe & Offering Basket on the left side of the altar and a Tithe & Offering Box at the back of the sanctuary on the radiator for your free will giving.

Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Did you know it costs money to run a church? Let’s look at it for a minute. The rent is $800 per month so that we have a building to meet in. The electric has been between $170 and $220 per month so we can have lights, a sound system, instruments, fans, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Telephone service (pastor’s cell & church phones) runs around $100 per month. Of course you realize the paper products you use don’t grow on trees. Then there are cleaning products, trash bags, paper, ink cartridges, blank tapes, curriculum, salt for icy steps, vacuum cleaners, vacuum bags…you get the picture.

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play.
To Have a Lamb at School.

And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak his name.

Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh.
We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!
