"Church Christmas party is Sat. Dec. 19th @ 6:30 at the Orange Grange. Bring covered dish of your choice. There will be a Christmas play, kids choir will be ministering, as well as D.O.C. Please plan to come and bring a friend!"
We, Richard and Marian, would like to express our thankfulness for the acceptance and warmth the church has expressed on our pending marriage.
We, however, have decided to stay friends and neighbors as opposed to husband and wife as we feel we are better friends than we would be spouses.
In expressing our thankfulness, we would also like to express our deepest desire to stay with the church and share our love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yours Truly,
Richard and Marian
Johnny’s mother looked out the window and noticed him "playing church" with their cat. He had the cat sitting quietly and he was preaching to it. She smiled and went about her work. A while later she heard loud meowing and hissing and ran back to the open window to see Johnny baptizing the cat in a tub of water. She called out, "Johnny, stop that! The cat is afraid of water!" Johnny looked up at her and said, "He should have thought about that before he joined my church."
Easy Sugar Free Pumpkin Pie (No Bake)
Submitted by Shannon Wilde
1 pkg sugar free vanilla pudding & pie mix (not instant; cook type)
2 pkts sweetener
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 can fat-free evaporated skim milk
2 sm containers liquid egg substitute
1 sm can pumpkin, solid pack
9” deep dish pre-baked pie shell
Combine ingredients in medium sized saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, to a full rolling boil over medium heat; boil for I minute. Remove from heat. Cool 5 minutes, stirring twice. Pour into pie shell and chill 4 hours.
I adjusted the recipe from an original from Jell-o printed in a magazine in 1974. The original was not sugar-free. Shannon
Let’s Spread Some Cheer: On Saturday, Dec. 12,, we will meet at the church at 10:30am. We will fan out and give little “gifts” to various public employees throughout our community. Bring something to give as a gift and join us for some fun.
