Church Bowling: Next Saturday, Sept 5, @ 5:30, Pastors will be at the bowling alley to bowl. We would love to have YOU join us for some fun. The games are $1.50 plus whatever shoe rental costs. You pay for your own stuff. We’d love to play with you!

You’re Invited: This afternoon @ 3:30 @ Shiloh Baptist Church there is a special service for Rev Biggers’ 19th Anniversary. Hope to see you there.

Habitat for Humanity: They want to know if we have a group who would like to come help build house #8. So far I have a woman, a teen, and a child. What’s up with that? Let Robin know if interested.

9/11 Remembrance: Coming Sept. 12, 9/11 survivor, George Sleigh, will be at the Career Center to share his account. Read more about it on the bulletin board by the Central School entrance.
$2000 in 2010

Roscoe Village is offering a booth during the Apple Butter Stirin’ Festival on Oct. 16 -18. This could possibly be an opportunity to make some money towards our $2,000 pledge. The items for sale must be handmade crafts or original art. We would have to send in an application with a picture of the crafts being offered. Demonstrations are encouraged as well as costume although it’s not required. Anyone interested or have any ideas?

Shonda came up with a great idea for a fundraiser – selling delivered box lunches around town. Any thoughts?

Those of you who like home baked goods, keep checking the table in the lounge area. No guarantees, but periodically there will be items for sale there. There may be other items offered for sale as well.
