Men’s Dart League: Will call to let you know.

Church Yard Sale: We have no room for storage and no one wants to head up the church yard sale so there will be no sale this year. If you have things to get rid of I would appreciate it if you would pass it by me so I can get things I can use for the Women of Witness Ministry. I use personal items, toys, clothes and household items including furniture. Thanks. Robin

Gideon Sunday: Cancelled until a later date.

Exercise Fellowship: At Becky Treat’s, Tuesday and Friday at 6pm to work out to a video (as long as the weather permits). This takes about a half hour to do and consists of walking steps and some resistance work. Everyone is welcome.

Wednesday Night Service: no service at the church but there will be an Adult Bible Study at Bill and Becky Treat’s house at 7pm. Not sure if Teresa has made any arrangements for Teens, so talk to her to find out. Parents will have to be responsible for teaching their children for the time being. If anyone would like a copy of a lesson see Robin. I’m sure we have something you could easily follow.

WWC Heating Update: We are running electric/kerosene/propane heaters to keep the building from freezing and equipment from being ruined. Can’t get it much warmer than 43 degrees or so. Not warm enough for church service. Steve Mercer (owner) is looking into purchasing a new system but this takes time. Will keep you posted about services.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT…CHILD TRAINING continued
By J. Richard Fugate
Continued from the introduction: It is not necessary to be a Christian to understand or to utilize most Biblical information on child training. Information on the institution of the family is available to all humanity. However, only the Christian who is mature in the Word and empowered by the Spirit of God will be able to train his child “ in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4b)

Parent Accountability
God has entrusted you, as human parents, with His creation of life. You would not have your child if it were not for the will of God.
Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.”
The fact that God has entrusted you with His creation makes you accountable to God for this gift of life. God, as a responsible Creator, has a purpose and plan for everything that He creates.
Psalms 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
“Children” and “fruit of the womb” refer to the physical results of human reproduction. The phrase “heritage from the Lord” refers to the source of the child’s soul life. Children are genetically a product of the parents, but God is the source of every child’s essence of life. The word translated “heritage” from the Hebrew means “an inheritance which is not given according to hereditary rights, but is a gift from the freewill of the donor.” In other words, your child is a gift from God.
You might ask yourself what your purpose was in having children. Did you actually consider how or why you would raise a family? Most of mankind have not even discovered the purpose for their own existence, much less the purpose for their children. Man generally is not a responsible creator and often finds himself a parent without either planning or purpose for his children.
After having children, parents begin to envision how the children will turn out when they are grown. They hope that their children will become well adjusted, moral, educated adults. However, little thought is usually given to the attainment of these results.
God has a plan and a purpose for each child. Each child is a life from God that is placed in a specific family as a part of that plan. God has set children under their parents’ control for approximately one-third of their life. Unlike animals that raise their young for only a few months, children are dependent on their parents for an extensive training period. Animals need to receive training only for physical existence, but a child requires training for his soul. Parents are responsible to train their children according to God’s standards.
