America in Bloom in Coshocton. This would involve trimming the shrubs and planting flowers in the flower bed.
Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival: I need to know who is interested in having a booth and who is interested in working a booth if we have one. See Robin.
Red Cross Blood Drive: For 2 years now, we have participated in this event by donating the snacks for a day and volunteers to take care of the snack area. This will not be done if there is no one to volunteer. I need to know quickly so that the coordinator has a little time to replace us. It will be June 16 from 12 to 6. See Robin.
Bible-On-Display: Once again we are doing Bible-On-Display here at the church. There will be two $25 prizes this year. One for ages 6 – 11 and one for ages 12 – 18. Children under 6 are encouraged to participate; there will be a small participation prize for them. Displays are due by May 1st.
The Women’s Conference next month has been cancelled.

Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year-old daughter. The girls were buried alive! Then He reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. Fifteen days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand – ALIVE!
The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she said, ‘A man wearing shiny clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister.’
She was interviewed on Egyptian National TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, ‘This was none other than JESUS, because nobody else does things like this!’ Muslims believe Isaac (JESUS) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive! But, it’s also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle.
Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the center of the media and education in the Middle East, you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, ‘I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life. I say to God my Rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?" My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, "Where is your God?" Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:7-11

Is there anyone interested in taking on this project for WWC?
This letter came in the mail the other day. We need someone to head this up. See pastor or Robin.
This letter is addressed to church leaders to invite you and your congregation to help Coshocton prepare for a city-wide event: America in Bloom in Coshocton.
This project involves all aspects of the community. Cities of similar sizes participate and ‘compete’ against each other in a friendly competition that serves as a catalyst for building community pride. Businesses, schools, residents, municipal organizations, and churches are being contacted about sprucing up areas around their buildings. For your church, it might mean just cleaning up the parking lot, tweaking your flowerbeds, fixing a broken window, or maybe adding a tub of annuals to the entrance of your building!
Your church is invited to become involved. Judges will be touring different areas of the city on June 21st and 22nd to evaluate our progress. What better time than spring to refresh the area around your church! The week before Coshocton is judged, groups will be out again for that final tweaking in preparation for the big visit!

To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." Gen 3:16
Sounds like the woman’s CURSE is that she will want love from her husband, which would imply that men won’t love their wives enough to satisfy them, but he will rule over her instead. I can personally testify that my husband loves me more than any human being on this earth. I thank God for him. He is the furthest thing from a curse, but rather a blessing to me. For this reason, it is important to study the original meaning of the word “desire”. Using my Strong’s Concordance, I find that the primitive root meaning of the word means “to run after or over”. Woman’s CURSE is that she will desire to “run over” or “rule” her husband but he will (instead) rule over her. Fight that urge, Sisters, we are BLESSED beyond the CURSE!!!!!!!

This is what the LORD says— the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel— to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

Settling the “Abba/Father - Daddy/Papa” Question: as found in Mark 14:36, Romans 8:15, and Galatians 4:6.
Amplified Version: 36And He was saying, Abba, [which means] Father, everything is possible for You. Take away this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You [will]. (Interpreted by using a Greek-English Lexicon)
King James: 36And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
NIV: 36"Abba,[a] Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." [a] Aramaic for Father
Nowhere was Abba interpreted as Daddy or Papa. We serve a holy, righteous God - Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you who have done great things. Who, O God, is like you? Psalm 71:19 Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? Psalm 77:13 In Isaiah 55:8 it says. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Nowhere in the Bible, are we told to refer to God as Daddy or Papa. Though it does sound neat to our ears and “blesses our heart”, we had better stick with the Word since His thoughts don’t seem to support this little “nickname”.

More about the “Women of Mission”
“In these dark days, the need for mercy is greater than ever.”
-Quotation from the character, Duncan, in the movie: ”Robinhood, Prince of Thieves”
Words from the secular world, but how very true! Our government says that our economy is getting better, but there are still so many families that are suffering, still lacking the most basic of necessities.
Here at the Word Worship Center, the Women of Mission are trying to help relieve some of that suffering. We are making and collecting items for babies to be taken to the Pregnancy Distress Center, and for the preemie babies in the Neo-Natal ICU at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
For anyone who wishes to join in, yarn, fabric and patterns are available. For those who do not sew or do needlework, donations of other baby items will be greatly appreciated, as well as prayer for the recipients. For more information please call Shannon Wilde at 622-1529.
May God bless our efforts and help the workers, as we work to save a nation, one child at a time.

"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:14-16
The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar…and the 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it in the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous, “Yes”. The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. “Now”, said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things – your God, your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else – the small stuff. If you put the sand in first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf ball first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.” One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled, “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there is always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”
