From Pastor’s Rib: Just a quick testimony On a few Wednesday nights, Pastor took us to the book of Job and showed us how suffering produces character. Because of this, we can trust that God is working things for our good – even when we don’t like what’s happening During this brief time of study, I met a lady while working at the Good News Book Store, who had been going through one of those times when one thing after another goes wrong. I spoke to her a while about everything and lightly said, “Don’t worry, God is just building your character.” We had a nice little laugh together and as she was leaving I told her I’d be praying for her. Then I thanked God for the lessons on Wednesday nights. I knew that this lady really didn’t understand what I “teased” her about. At the same time I realized that I would never look at suffering in the same way again. When I have to go through difficulties, I will trust that God is working and I’ll ask Him to teach me. I LOVE IT!!!!!

Question from Robin: Did anyone loan me a set of CD’s by David Jeremiah called Captured by Grace?

From Pastor’s Rib: There are times I ask myself, “What kind of world are we living in?” Times like tonight, when I hear that Sis Betty fell and several men passed by without stopping to help her up, one of them even cracking a joke! What’s up with that? That’s the kind of world we’re living in! But I am OF a world where a woman with M.S. loves her God and her church so much, that she will make her feet and legs walk quite a distance to work a fundraiser booth, whether they want to cooperate or not; a world where that same lady will walk door to door to invite the lost to come hear about Jesus. I am OF a world where a man with back & leg issues, wants to be in the house of God so strongly, that he’ll walk from Canal Lewisville to Word Worship Center (about 6 miles). I am OF a world where a man experiencing vision loss among other physical hindrances refuses to allow his problems to keep him from church. I thank God for the testimony and determination of Betty Larntz, Robert Brown and Jack Hawthorne. What kind of world are we living in? A very sad one! But look up Beloved! All these things assure us that our Redemption is drawing closer!!! Rejoice! If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. John 15:9
