Behold –the Reward!

Direct T.V. has an advertisement that encourages
their subscribers who already enjoy great television
(that’s a matter of opinion ) to spread the
word and make referrals to their friends. If it
should be that someone purchases Direct T.V. through
these referrals, then a reward of $100 is to be had.
The narration states it this way: Hey, you are
already enjoying good T.V. you might as well share
the news with your friends and get paid for it. Well,
if I could speak for the Lord at this moment I would
like to remind you that you are already enjoying a
great salvation and abundant life, you might as well
share the News with your friends and get a reward for
it. You know salvation is free but there are rewards
awaiting those who serve Christ in this life. Paul
told the Thessalonians that they were indeed his
crown, joy and glory when he stands in the presence
of the Lord. Solomon said that he who wins a soul is
wise and Daniel said that those who are wise shall
shine like the stars in heaven. But really, enough
about us. Let’s get to the reward! Jesus said,
Behold, I come quickly and My reward is with
Me!”
When all is said and done and we find ourselves in heaven at the Judgment Seat of Christ we all shall be held in great anticipation of the reward that will be ours. Jesus Christ will judge our service. He will weigh the motivations of our hearts and He will make sound judgments of the attitudes of our hearts. How all this will take place I do not know, but what I do know is that all His judgments are just and true. Therefore, each of us will receive that great Reward. And what is that great Reward? What is it that we are longing for and desiring to possess? Him! Yes, that’s right; God will reward us with Himself. The prayer of Jesus will be answered and we shall be in Him even as He is in us. He prayed, “Father, I pray that they are one even as we are one.” Peter, through the Holy Spirit said that we are partakers of the divine nature through the precious promises that He has given us. Brother and Sister, God is all that you and I should ever want and desire here on earth –why should it be any different when we reach heaven? I don’t want to go to heaven if God only visits there and I’m sure that you wouldn’t either. God, in all His beauty and majesty, shall be our God and we shall be His people! Rejoice saints of God, your Redemption draweth nigh and His reward is with Him.
